Las Vegas Baby
I'm going to wrap Vegas up in one posting...since noone can believe we were there for twelve days. It was business...not a three-day weekend of constant partying...although there was some of that as well.
We arrived into Vegas really late at night and checked into the Rio. Yes, the Rio. It was the host hotel for the FIABCI-USA fall business meetings. NOTE: always stay at the host hotels...it makes your life easy. Anyway, for the next few days we basically had meetings, networking sessions and dinners. BUT we snuck away one evening for what turned out to be soooooooo much fun...Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine at the Hard Rock. If you are reading this...you have to see his show.
The following evening, we attended (crashed) a fundraiser for the local Boys and Girls Club at Ghostbar. The view was spectacular and the older surfer looking guy singing was actually really good. He gave me a CD but the CD didn't have name or contact info so I can only give him under-cover props. Sorry dude.
Once the FIABCI meetings were over, the National Association of Realtors' Annual Convention began. This is where experience comes in handy. There are literally 1000s of things to do, learn about and network at. I always hit the morning educational sessions on new and emerging topics...then I spend most of my time in the international networking center. This year was a first for the SIMA-USA showcase and it was awesome. I also spoke about Optimum Realty and land opportunities in Costa Rica at the Distinctive Marketing Showcase in the Global Real Estate Theater.
Take a look at what a typical schedule for the day is for us...and yes it is 8:30am-midnight...wear flats.
Fave places...Pure Nightclub rooftop, Body English on Sunday, Hard Rock for gambling, Little Bhudda at The Palms for sushi, champagne and video blackjack at Wynn, table on the terrace at Vintner's Grill in Somerlin.
