Around Panama

This slideshow contains photos from our random adventures around Panama includng the day we spent with Angela in Amador, Casco Viejo with Joan, a very inetresting day on the road with Joan (who speaks fluent spanish) with a trek to the Caribbean coast of the country (one hour from Panama City) which included the Free Trade Zone in Colon, lunch at Mamitas Beach Club and ruins in the small port town of Portobelo. We also had our driver, Alex, take us to the Gamboa Rainforest Resort for a day trip. We had lunch and visited the spa (not recommended) then took a boat ride before sunset on the Panama Canal (highly recommended). You enter from the resort's pier on the Chagres River, then pass under a small bridge a few minutes later before it turns into the Panama Canal. Not a good idea to take expensive camera gear and Gucci purse...and if you do...protect them with your life when you pass through the wake of the ships...its like a tidal wave.

Next stop...LAS VEGAS for the FIABCI-USA meetings and National Association of Realtors Annual Convention.
