Have you been to the Saturday Farmer's Market on the Kapiolani Community College campus in Diamond Head? If not, you are really missing out. The market opens at 7:30am and people are lined up before that in an effort to get the best crops, some that sell out even before we get there at 10am. Our standard Saturday includes a 9am soccer game with munchkins before hitting the market for organic fruits and veggies, fresh flowers and lunch. Put these on your "no miss" list:
- Hawaii Coorperative of Organic Farmers tent (we buy eggplant, sprouts, limes, mangosteen, Hamakua Mushrooms, kim chee & more)
- Tom at Taro Delight (delicioso taro dips...our fav: red alert)
- Xotic Eats (try the "tofushi" a tofu sushi in which the rice is replaced with texturized tofu and the bentos...ono)
